Description

This handmade ceramic button combines the rawness of the material with a delicate aesthetic. The button is covered with a glaze in a shade of powdered, dirty pink. The surface is not uniform - it shows subtle darker flecks and delicate discoloration at the edges, which emphasizes their handmade character. Because they are handmade, individual pieces differ from each other in details such as the distribution of dots or precise shape, making each button unique. They come in two geometric variants:
1. classic round - approx. 2.3 cm / 0.90 in.
2. modern square with slightly rounded corners - about 2.2×2.2 cm / 0.86×0.86 in.

I create with natural ceramic and stoneware clays, fired at 1100-1250 °C. I use safe, food-grade glazes.
